Why we sell blocks

Blocks, blocks and more blocks. As sellers of ESDA, Jolly Heap, Polydron and Marioinex, we see all kinds of blocks passing by. Over the years, of course, we have also looked at and tested products from other suppliers. We think we should first get excited about the blocks we sell ourselves before we put them on the site.

Also the quality should be good, they should not break down easily. No pieces of the blocks should break off quickly. And, of course, longevity is also very important. The children should be able to play with it for a very long time.

We have rejected several brands on that too, bits broke off. We have had blocks that do not stack well so the children cannot build a good wall. The blocks then “jump” right back off. Nor do we want to sell brands that we don’t like by these standards.

From the beginning we sell the ESDA brand, we have rented these blocks ourselves and there we found that children can play with them for a long time and have fun. And as a benefit to the landlord, they didn’t break down easily. Even if the children accidentally step on them they remain in one piece.

ESDA’s manufacturer has made minor changes over the years to make the blocks as good as possible. Rounded corners for safety, a hole in the bottom of the block to allow air to leave during stacking. And, of course, the perfect fit.

Children notice with play that the blocks just fit together perfectly. And as a result, they continue to play with ESDA. They know they can easily make walls, houses, benches and anything else they can think of and also easily take apart. If something does not work easily, most children will abandon the toy after an hour. With ESDA products, this will not be the case. We hear from our customers that the children can spend hours at a time with it.

Quality of our products

That ESDA’s blocks have quality and longevity is confirmed by many of our customers who own children’s playgrounds. There are customers where the blocks have been around for 10 years and are played with 365 days a year. So we sometimes hear, “you have too good a product we don’t need some for the first 10 years.” We are happy with it, rather a good product than a toy that is broken with a year.

Consequently, ESDA products are not cheap, but the investment pays off in the longevity of the products and the time children can spend with them. We also often hear this comment from parents “If we go to an indoor play park, our child sits all day playing with the blocks, anything else he hardly wants to do.” That will make us happy.

Over the years, we specialized in ESDA and found out that there are also boards and small blocks for younger children. The ESDA boards are mega large 90 cm long 30 cm wide and 15 cm long. These fit seamlessly on the ESDA blocks because there are holes at regular intervals on the bottom of the boards where the blocks fit.

These boards can be used to make benches, tables, roofs of houses and many other things that only children can think of.

ESDA cubes but in miniature

The small cubes have also been added over the years. These are 15 cm long and 7.5 cm wide. These cubes are perfect for smaller children and for places where there is not much space. Of course, they again have the rounded corners and are easily stackable and also quickly disassembled. These small cubes are widely used in childcare, BSO and, for example, at dentists and general practitioners in the waiting room.

Quiet products, low incentive

Since our customers also have wishes for other colors, we have devised and implemented several other sets in cooperation with our manufacturer. From this the Camouflage set with calm natural colors and our Aqua set with blue colors, among others, were born.

We find that this is a lot calmer for children who still like to play with the blocks. We sell the Camouflage and Aqua set a lot to care farms and institutions.
