Polydron is a strong brand from England. Polydron has been making education-oriented products for schools, daycare centers, guest parents and childcare centers for more than 30 years. But it began in 1970 with the creator of the original squares and triangles, Edward Harvey. Edward’s son, Ronan, saw the potential of these toys and sold them to schools and other educational institutions.

Under the current director, Richard Hardstaff, the Polydron brand was just beginning to develop properly. He invented new products such as the magnetic blocks. Polydron is bought for children in more than 60 countries around the world.

Of course, these blocks are also certified to current standards. Not only do all products meet EN 71, ASTM American and AS/NZ safety standards but all products are also BPA-free. And is Polydron accredited with ISO14001.

Octoplay

Polydron sheets

The Polydron sheets are as large as 40 x 40 cm, allowing you to quickly build tunnels or large houses. It also includes 3 angled plates that allow you to make a roof as well. The plates are attached to each other by a click system. These plates are also available in natural and primary colors. The sets consist of 12, 24 or 36 plates.

There are as many as 3 different shapes in the box. These are distributed in equal amounts in the sets. These plates are suitable for children as young as 2 years old. The plates are also suitable for indoor and outdoor use and, of course, can be cleaned with soap and water.

Bridges and Machinery

A completely different product of the Polydron family are the bridges and machine sets. Suitable for children 9 years of age and older.

With the bridge set it is possible to make 8 different bridges. The world’s most iconic bridges are to be built. In addition, work cards are also included in the set. This contains instructions on how to recreate the bridge yourself. It is not a lego booklet with every step depicted. The children must think for themselves what the next step is to recreate a bridge. Super suitable for STEM education. Also included are work cards that encourage children to look further and build their own fantasy bridge.
